Illustration Friday—Stir

August 10, 2010

Treeing Walker coonhound

An old post from August 10th when I changed platforms from “blogger” to “wordpress” but so perfect for Illustration Friday’s word for 3-11-11 “stir”. I feel like I’m cheating — will see what I come up with later for something new — but for the moment, it’s our hound Ellie Mae who sleeps, not a “stir” does she make…

I want to kiss her right on the top of her head! How incredibly cute is the hound?

I sometimes envy (kindly) the deep sleep of dogs and cats.
Like this dog….it seems to be in another world; a lovely dream world.

It’s really good so I’ll let you pass…I think about 50% of the stuff on here is reposts or someone trying to sell underwear…and I don’t see no underwear on the dog so I think we’re safe from that aspect…interesting to see more of a finished piece and very nice handling of the watercolor!

Awwww, Ellie Mae. I think that Ive just decided that my next dog will be a coonhound. Lovely…and I can almost smell that great earthy smell that dogs’ paws have…

      Painter Woman,
Thank you for stopping by and commenting!! Ellie Mae is a Treeing Walker Coonhound (imagine a 75 pound Beagle or a stocky foxhound with big paws and may I add the sweetest hound ever!)
