Alewives Schooling

August 12, 2010

Exploring some linocut designs and I’m “drawn” to fishes and crows for some reason.

These are Alewife in honor of David Wilkins and all his wonderful work protecting and fostering these guys with his “Alewife Restoration Project” in Bremen, Maine.

Check out his interview on YouTube:  Alewives vs. Culvert Bremen, Maine

Pen, you need to tell Jan about how you’re drawn to crows. She LOVES crows!

Love the fish. They are usually hard to make expressive, aren’t they? Yours seem to have little smiles and lips puckered ready to kiss! : )

Thanks for looking, Judy! And Bremen looks to be a little piece of heaven. And David’s doing amazing work w/ culverts!
