Illustration Friday—Disguise

August 30, 2011

“When pigs fly…”

When I see those crazy pigs flying, I know they’re angels in “disguise“… Adorable pink piglets swimming in a sea of blue, sporting striped bathing trunks, soaring on soft-feathered wings, and looking through eye-protective goggles simply watching over all creatures great and small.

Oh my gosh, these are wonderful!!! How you sketch like that with ballpoint pen is beyond me! Just saw a link to that new Wacom Inkling device which seems perfect for someone who sketches like you do. This would be a darling repeating textile print, by the way!

Thanks a million, Penelope! Don’t worry about your Spanish, I can understand English quite good. At least, I think so… 😉
I’m very gratefull for your visit and your friendly words. I’ve also enjoyed a lot with your flying pigs and the other drawings that I’ve seen. I think that you have a very graceful, clever and fun way of drawing. An excellent hand to draw. Congratulations.

I giggled and laughed over this charming illustration. This is just beyond cute, and as always, your illustrations fill my eyes to the brim.

    You are truly amazing.

Thanks all! It’s all about the whimsy and sometimes the ol’ Bic pen is the best tool. I truly love blue ballpoint pens, the cheap ones…none of this Mont Blanc stuff. There’s a pull in their drag on the paper that makes a great line.

As always, you all rock for visiting! Thank you for you continued support and “Atta girls”!

Well, here’s another “atta girl!” for you! LOVE your goggled piggies!!! You absolutely get the prize for ball point pen drawing, but I would imagine you could draw with just about anything!! Your work continues to amaze and delight me and btw, I am also terribly flattered that Anita mentioned us in the same breath, so to speak—I take that as an uber compliment!!

    Thanx for stopping by again.
I am busy entertaining my 3 kids before school starts, not even attempting to draw a line. I
I will post soon I hope.
