Boundaries II
September 15, 2011
Color version of “Boundaries” with the addition of a tortoise and a hare… I’m not thrilled with this version, sometimes, oftentimes, a sketch works so much better than a finished piece.

oh, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT………………….I LOVE THIS VERSION. And here is why…in color I see: the carrot, the worm, and the fish all baiting the fish, penguin, and tortoise. I TOTALLY missed that in the pencil sketch. But, I am also a woman who adores color. It is rich and vibrant, and full of whimsy.
Oh dearest, it is fabulous…but I know what you mean. My drawings are kept to a minimum, mostly because I don’t know HOW to handle color! Come see my silly drawings if you get a chance.

Heisann!
The sketch has more movement, but the finished is lovely though ;:OD)
I adore your artwork, as always–I’m sorry I haven’t been around much these past couple weeks. I spoke for a ladies retreat last week, we performed on the weekend and this morning my treasured and precious little sister was taken into emergency for a heart blockage. They say she will be fine after an angiogram and stent–but I won’t feel much better until I get to see her tomorrow.
((hugs)) Thanks for your patience. I am one of your biggest fans.
Adorable! I’m going to have to agree in that I prefer the sketch. I think it’s the composition that makes it more appealing, because the sketch has a definite focal point, and the addition of the other animals spreads that out a bit. But the colored piece is really cutet, too. I really like your style! (Btw, found you through the Art Blog Hop). :o)
I quite like this little parade of perambulatory persuasion, though the sketch is very appealing too– I guess I respond more to the story in this one, & it has a certain Rube Goldberg quality that I love. 🙂
Yes!!! Love it.
Love love love. (this encore comment post brought to you by the society of onlookers who desire to see more art from Penelope)
Workin’ on it now. As always, you rock!
