Illustration Friday—Puzzled

April 13, 2012

Eenie and Meenie seemed “puzzled.” How on earth did Miny catch that kitty by the tail without the help of Moe? Hmmm, Hickory, Dickory, Dock…

“Eenie, Meenie, & Miney caught a kitty” is a class assignment where we had to create a digital painting in photoshop. I used the Wacom Cintiq 12WX. I tried it a year ago and just didn’t feel the love. This time, yikes. Loved it! For me, this assignment was like eating chocolate cake, simply yummy.

Brilliant! This picture really made me smile! I love Miny’s expression – totally unphased about chewing on a lions tail. If the other two look puzzled I can only imagine what the expression on the lions face must be! 😀

Oh, just followed the your link and the Cintiq looks incredible!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! you are back! I was thinking about you the other day. You go girl. Wish I had that much success with my first stab at Photoshop. You are a natural. It is quite liberating knowing you can make TONS of mistakes and not have to chuck the whole painting, isn’t it? This is fabulous, as usual.

Wow… this is digital?! Fabulously done; it retains the warmth of your sketches and watercolors.
