Illustration Friday—Boundaries
September 11, 2011
For “boundaries” it’s a doodle I did while in a meeting last week…The idea is stolen/borrowed from Rubin Pingk’s skineart post with his kids walking the fish. It made me laugh, so as I sat in this meeting listening and doodling, I scribbled an angry, eccentric man walking his critters—Koi, penguin and a seagull. Water, land, air, talk about “boundaries.”
I may try to do more with this one, so check back in a day or so… And thanks, Rubin! I hope you don’t mind! Check out his blog, too.
THIS IS SO SPLENDID MY DEAR! Walking a fish…now that is WALKING OUTSIDE THE BOX or off the page!!!!

You and your magic ball pen. Fantastic as usual…
Heisann!
It must be hard for the animals which are used to freedom!
Yes, fantastic as usual ;:OD)
Love it. The angry, eccentric dude is awesome. But, I’ve got to say, the penguin is my favorite. Just a wonderfully imaginative concept. So glad you gave props to Rubin, too. He is another super talented creative like you. So wonderful when we are able to feed off of one another.
Haha, you call this a ‘doodle’? It’s wonderful…
Hello, my talented Friend! I laughed and laughed over this one! I love the lined paper–I, too, tend to draw on whatever comes handy when inspiration hits! (grin)
We just returned from various performances this weekend, and I’m about to finish my preparations for speaking tomorrow – thursday, for a ladies retreat, but before I turn off the internet, I wanted to thank you for making me laugh.
You are SUCH a gifted artist. I am always inspired by your work!
I’d love to see how you expand on this. Great idea!
Penelope,
You are the QUEEN of expression! The faces, the bodies… I am in awe. I love them all.
🙂
Nice idea and cute sketch, really like the Koi:)
You’re amazing!
This one is great! 🙂
